[BUG] SimpleRealm BASIC authentication broke in 3.3dev?

This is for the latest Tomcat 3.3dev from CVS.

In /webapps/examples/WEB-INF/web.xml I commented out the FORM based 
login-config and uncommented the BASIC login-config.

When you try to access

http://localhost:8080/examples/jsp/security/protected/

You get a document contained no data error using Netscape 4.74.

Trying it with lynx I get the error "Unexpected network error".

Tomcat isn't logging any errors.

Bug?
