Date Format in XML

Hi All,

I have an element as "xs:date" type in my schema.
When I use xmlbeans to create the XML instance, it generates the XML with
the standard date format (2004-09-13-04:00)
How can I generate the XML with a different date format XML like (OCT 4 2004
01:00 PM)?
