html:select

Hi,

I have a select box whose width has been restricted as 

<html:select style="width:470" size="6" property="someProp" 
styleClass="textbox">

This comes with a vertical scroll when the number of lines are more. 
But I am not able to get a horizondal scroll when the line is long 
enough to go out of the box. So I am not able to see some of the text. 
Is there some option that I can try out, to get the Horizondal scroll?
