[jira] [Created] (BUILDR-645) Support Mercurial as a version control system

Tan Quach created BUILDR-645:
--------------------------------

Summary: Support Mercurial as a version control system
                 Key: BUILDR-645
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BUILDR-645
             Project: Buildr
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Core features
    Affects Versions: 1.4.6
            Reporter: Tan Quach

It would be great to have support for Mercurial in doing releases. I am surprised no one has asked for this feature yet.

I quickly wrote up a Buildr extension that is very similar to the GitRelease and Git classes, so it should be fairly trivial to do this.

Related issue: BUILDR-222

I've added the patch to the Github and submitted it as a pull request.

For those, looking to just add this as an extension temporarily, it's relatively straightforward as well.

Thanks,
Tan

Hi Tan, the pull request looks great. Thanks! Could you also attach a git diff of the patch on this issue and check the "License to ASF" checkbox just to properly assign IP rights. Once that's cleared, we'll merge the pull request.
