file creation error
Hi
When I try to create any tables, I receive this message:
FAILED: Error in metadata: MetaException(message:Got exception:
java.io.FileNotFoundException File file:/user/hive/warehouse/table_name
does not exist.)
FAILED: Execution Error, return code 1 from
org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.exec.DDLTask
Does anybody know how to fix it?
Thank you in advance for your reply
Mahsa

Hi,
If your HDFS path already exists it should be a permission issue.
Check the permissions "hadoop fs -ls /user/hive"

The path "/user/hive/warehouse" is usually on HDFS, not your local file
system. Check your default FS root (can't remember the parameter name
ottomh).
