[jira] [Created] (CAMEL-24232) ProcessorTransformer does not copy variables to transform exchange

Claus Ibsen created CAMEL-24232:
-----------------------------------

             Summary: ProcessorTransformer does not copy variables to transform exchange
                 Key: CAMEL-24232
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-24232
             Project: Camel
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: camel-core
            Reporter: Claus Ibsen

{{ProcessorTransformer.transform()}} creates a copy of the exchange for the transform processor but does not copy variables from the original exchange.

{code:java}
Exchange transformExchange = new DefaultExchange(exchange);
transformExchange.setIn(message);
transformExchange.getExchangeExtension().setProperties(exchange.getProperties());
processor.process(transformExchange);
{code}

It copies:
* Headers: yes (via {{setIn(message)}})
* Exchange properties: yes (via {{setProperties}})
* Variables: *no*

If the transform processor references {{$\{variable.xxx\}}}, it will get {{null}} instead of the actual value.

Found while investigating CAMEL-24231 (same class of bug: incomplete data copy to a scratch exchange).
