[jira] [Commented] (HADOOP-12692) Maven's DependencyConvergence rule failed

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-12692?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15289169#comment-15289169 ]

Andras Bokor commented on HADOOP-12692:
---------------------------------------

I think the problem is that one pom uses provided scope while the other use compile scope (no versions defined). Somehow maven considers different versions for the different scopes.

> Looks like httpfs depends on two versions of hadoop-auth: 3.0.0-SNAPSHOT and a timestamp based.
> I think this can be fixed by updating one of the pom.xml files. But I am not exactly sure how to do it. Need a Maven expert here.
