[jira] [Commented] (CAMEL-14801) camel components - Add @Category annotation with enum of valid names

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-14801?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17100049#comment-17100049 ]

Omar Al-Safi commented on CAMEL-14801:
--------------------------------------

[~davsclaus], if not mistaken, these freeform names are coming from the component labels, is that correct? If yes, so perhaps theĀ  {{@Category}} will be only used to categorize the components only in camel-catalog, is that correct?

> Instead of freeform names for categorizing the components then lets look at getting this fixed to a limited number of known names we can put in some enum somewhere and have build checks to fail if not assigned to one of them.
> Today you can see the list of free form named that are in used by building camel-catalog that prints a lot to the console.
