AcceptPathInfo win32 apache2
Hi , having problems with my no-loger search-engine friendly URL's with apache2 i.e.
www. whatever.com/this.htm/that/other/
would on apache 1.2.* 'look back' to `this.htm` and have $that & $other neatly packed in $PATH_INFO
according to the manual I have to turn the look back on with AcceptPathInfo - but it does not seem to work, I have tried it everywhere in the httpd.conf and .htaccess etc , trying all options (on|off|default) , but it seems pretty much ignored, I assume it is part of the core directives so I assume I need no extra mods....
can anyone at least confirm that this feature works for them on win32 ? & if anyone has any ideas on where to kick it ?
WInXP&2K apache 2.0.35 default config

Multiple websites on one IP address?
Posted by Dave Bartmess <di...@edingo.net>.
I'm a relative newbie to Linux, and definitely to Apache. I'm trying to
figure out (and I've read the docs and faqs and archived messages)
whether I can do a multiple website webserver on one single IP address.
Basically, I'm trying to create two websites, one personal, and one
company, for testing purposes before I put it on the respective ISP's
webhost servers.
But everything I've tried comes up badly. My httpd.conf (the relevant
parts, I think) is below, but no matter what I do, I can't get both
websites to act independently. Either they both point to the base
DocRoot folder for the <VirtualHost *> statement, or they both tell me I
don't have permission to see the file(s).
Please help.. I'm lost in documentation!!

Sorry, but I can only confirm that it is not working the way I think it
should. I've only tried on win32. Has anyone tried AcceptPathInfo on
unix?
I suggest you report this as a bug.
Joshua.

I noticed this was being reproduced across multiple platforms, so I
reported this bug to the PHP group a couple of days ago.
http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=16622 (pretty lame report, but it was the
best I could do)
Today I checked with them on the PHP-DEV list, and they are looking at
it.
