Turbine and Sun JAAS

Hi.  Just started working with Turbine.

The JDBC / LDAP look very promising.  A couple questions thou.

Sun's JAAS seems to fill the same need.  Is there a reference to the 
two?  A comparison/contrast?  A bridge between the two?

Where is the RDBMS and LDAP schemata?
Can LDAP Posix User be leveraged?
Any html/Swing clients for admining users/groups/roles...
