Jiajun Xie commented on CALCITE-5668:
-------------------------------------
Should core allow dollar sign?
I think babel can do this, here is a similar JIRA ticket: CALCITE-5029

> According PostgreSQL documentation [1]:
> ??SQL identifiers and key words must begin with a letter (a-z, but also letters with diacritical marks and non-Latin letters) or an underscore (_). Subsequent characters in an identifier or key word can be letters, underscores, digits (0-9), or dollar signs ($).??
> To implement it, I suggest using the same approach as in CALCITE-4246.
