JPython, BSF and xalan

Hi!

Yesterday I tried to do some JPython scripting in xalan, and it did simply not
work except for numbers as parameters. 

Today a discovered a patch in the november 2000 archives of bsf-discussion which
fixes the bug and makes everything work just fine.

My question: why is cvs still not up to date? I can't find any messages about
rejection of the patch nor mails about it's inclusion.

Attached is a simple example from the xalan extension documentation converted
from javascript to JPython. The patch is also included. Perhaps it would be a
solution if at least xalan is shipped with a patched bsf.jar?
