Adding Apex and Malhar to ohloh / openhub

Hi,

As many of you may already know that ohloh.net (now openhub.net) provides
analysis and search capability for FOSS.

Introduction From their blog:

http://blog.openhub.net/about/

> The Black Duck Open Hub <http://www.openhub.net> (formerly Ohloh.net) is
> an online community and public directory of free and open source software
> (FOSS), offering analytics and search services for discovering, evaluating,
> tracking, and comparing open source code and projects. Open Hub Code
> Search <http://code.openhub.net/> is free code search engine indexing
> over 21,000,000,000 lines of open source code from projects on the Black
> Duck Open Hub.

Here are few project URLs for ref.

https://www.openhub.net/p/Hadoop
https://www.openhub.net/p/Hadoop/analyses/latest/languages_summary
https://www.openhub.net/p/mediawiki

I could see that ASF has claimed around 340 projects (many are incubating):

https://www.openhub.net/orgs/apache

Does it make sense to add Apex and Malhar on openhub?
That way, we may extend our reach and awareness to openhub users.

Thanks,

Aniruddha

No, that's already reflected. It's an issue on their end.

Seems like we are out of date on openhub. Probably because of changing urls
out of incubating..

https://www.openhub.net/p/apache_apex

This is great. I like the combined stats for both repos. We could also add
-site to it.

Also we should see current stats soon as we switch to default branch.

Is it possible to combine contributor entries that represent the same
person (happens automatically on github)?

Hi,

Apache Apex is now on openub.net :
https://www.openhub.net/p/apache_apex

Please, note that although I have created a project there, I haven't
affiliated any organization / manager to the project.

Let me know, if you find any missing / inaccurate information about the
project there.

These are the repositories & branches that are being tracked:

git://github.com/apache/incubator-apex-core.git master
https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator-apex-malhar.git master

Here are some quick stats about Apache Apex + Malhar (incubating) as on
24'th of Jan 2016 WRT master branches:

In a Nutshell, Apache Apex (incubating)...

   - ...
   has had 11,105 commits
   <https://www.openhub.net/p/apache_apex/commits/summary> made by 75
   contributors <https://www.openhub.net/p/apache_apex/contributors/summary>
   representing 178,022 lines of code
   <https://www.openhub.net/p/apache_apex/analyses/latest/languages_summary>
   - ...
   is mostly written in Java
   <https://www.openhub.net/p/apache_apex/analyses/latest/languages_summary>
   with an average number of source code comments
   <https://www.openhub.net/p/apache_apex/factoids#FactoidCommentsAverage>
   - ...
   has a codebase with a long source history
   <https://www.openhub.net/p/apache_apex/factoids#FactoidAgeOld>
   maintained by a very large development team
   <https://www.openhub.net/p/apache_apex/factoids#FactoidTeamSizeVeryLarge>
   with decreasing Y-O-Y commits
   <https://www.openhub.net/p/apache_apex/factoids#FactoidActivityDecreasing>
   - ...
   took an estimated 46 years of effort
   <https://www.openhub.net/p/apache_apex/estimated_cost> (COCOMO model)
   starting with its first commit in June, 2012
   <https://www.openhub.net/p/apache_apex/commits?sort=oldest>
   ending with its most recent commit 2 months
