We can remove the link where we are facing such problem to draw graph and display the error to the user. In that case user is not left with blank workflow panal.

Yes we can create a new one or update this JIRA. In this case we should still load the graph and let user edit the workflow if there is any validation problem. Currently i need to recreate the workflow to correct one error.

Suresh Marru commented on AIRAVATA-430:
---------------------------------------

I understand the pain in re-creating the workflow, but I think allowing to load it will lead to other side effects. This is a critical bug, that XBaya should not allow incorrect workflows should be constructed and saved in the first place. We probably should take this as a one off situation and raise the JIRA level and fix it so the type compatibility is strictly checked at construction time.

Lahiru Gunathilake commented on AIRAVATA-430:
---------------------------------------------

This workflow Services are wrong... the first Node output parameters are
CallPipeList
Type: URIParameterType
restoreBB
Type: URIParameterType

and second node input parameters are

Exposures_per_split
Type: StringParameterType
Exposure_list_file
Type: URIParameterType

and this is wrong to connect Exposures_per_split to CallPipeList which are wrong types. Ideally XBaya should through an error during connection...
We need to create an issue for that I guess.. WDYT ?
