classformaterror again
Hi again,
I really can't figure out why I have a classformaterror (using tomcat 3.1,
jdk 1.2.2), because it comes depending on what I have in my source code.
if I put a method that returns a java.sql.ResultSet, tomcat can't load the
class. If I comment out this method and reload the classes, tomcat doesn't
have any problem. But I really need to return a ResultSet!!
I'll appreciate any help
thanks

Try running "javap java.sql.ResultSet" to see if it can load that class
successfully. Make sure you set the class path to the same effective
class path that Tomcat it using. (Account for automatically-included
WEB-INF/classes directories and WEB-INF/lib/*.jar files.)
Try running "java -verify java.sql.ResultSet" to verify the class file
directly. (If it complains that it's an interface and not a class, or
says that it can't find method Main, that's okay.)
Try the -verbose option to the java command; that might tell you which
class files or Jar files it's looking at.

Are you sure you don't have any older JAR files hanging around from
earlier Java versions?
