[VOTE] Release Apache Dubbo 2.6.8 RC1

Hello Dubbo Community,

This is a call for vote to release Apache Dubbo version 2.6.8.

The release candidates:
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/dubbo/dubbo/2.6.8/

Git tag for the release:
https://github.com/apache/dubbo/tree/dubbo-2.6.8

Hash for the release tag:
ff14005475dc2e6e1e8c5081abb61e65faef464c

Release Notes:
Backport some changes from 2.7 to 2.6

The artifacts have been signed with Key: 28681CB1, which can be
found in the keys file:
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/dubbo/KEYS

The vote will be open for at least 72 hours or until necessary number of
votes are reached.

Please vote accordingly:

Yes, that must be fixed. I think it’s because we have been focusing on 2.7.x release. It’s the first 2.6.x release since graduation.

2.7.x is the main evolving branch. 2.6.x is left with ‘com.alibaba’ package unchanged mainly for compatibility, there’re still lots of users staying on this branch. 2.5.x is of the same case but it has been announced entered EOL.

Hi,

-1 for still using incubating in the source directory (full name is apache-dubbo-incubating-2.6.8-source-release) and other places.

The NOTICE file still say "Apache Dubbo (incubating)” and the README.md still refers to the project as an incubating project, as does the distribution pom.xml but Dubbo is no longer an incubating project.

I checked:
- signatures and hashes are fine
- LICENSE is fine
- NOTICE year needs updating but that’s a minor issue
- NOTICE file still says "Apache Dubbo (incubating)"
- all header have ASF header
- no binary file in the release
- can compile from source

BTW I can’t recall this recently being discussed but are we at some point going to change the  com.alibaba.dubbo package name? Dubbo is an Apache project not an Alibaba one.
