Sean Owen updated SPARK-12961:
------------------------------
Component/s: Spark Core
> Work around memory leak in Snappy library
> -----------------------------------------
>
> Key: SPARK-12961
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-12961
> Project: Spark
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Spark Core
> Reporter: Josh Rosen
>
> See https://github.com/xerial/snappy-java/issues/131; it looks like there is a memory leak in the {{snappy-java}} Java which we should work around in Spark. We could wait for a new version of the library, but I think we should just make a one- or two-line change in Spark to mask the issue.
