Early/Major problems in TomcatM2RC1 on win-98

Hi :

As we saw problems on Windows last time, with out
of box running of TOmcat3.1, i started running M2 on
Windows-98. These are the problems which i come across

within couple of minutes.

1. All .bat files are still stored in UNIX format. So
i
am getting "Bad command or file name" when i tried to
run tomcat.bat.

Can somebody check-in these files with "-kb" option
( i remember Rajiv saying this will take care of the
problem )

When i opened and saved back using Windows edit
these are working.

2. In tomcat.bat all Jar paths are set like
".\lib\webserver.jar" etc. This will work only if we
are in toplevel "tomcat" directory and call the bat
file as "bin\tomcat.bat start" . Why can't we define
TOMCAT_HOME variable and set the default value of that
to ".." and use that. Anybody for correcting this?

3. After starting "bin/tomcat.bat start" and trying to
access "http://localhost:8080" i got "Document
Contains No Data" dialog and at the command prompt i
got exception messages as

" at
org.apache.tomcat.core.ContextManager.handleError(ContextManager.java
)
    at
org.apache.tomcat.core.ServletWrapper.handleRequest(ServletWrapper.ja
02)
    at
org.apache.tomcat.core.ServletWrapper.handleRequest(ServletWrapper.ja
14)
    at
org.apache.tomcat.core.ContextManager.handleError(ContextManager.java
)

org.apache.tomcat.core.ServletWrapper.handleRequest(ServletWrapper.ja

"

I am getting the same exception message when trying
to access any thing. So effectively this is unusable.
And i don't think i am doing anything wrong. And we
need to correct these problems as soon as possible.

For record i set JAVA_HOME to jdk1.3

Thanks
-Ramesh
