Call for volunteers: Release Managers for upcoming releases
People,
As Fabricio and Wei are concluding the release of th4e non LTS /
Spring release, We need to plan for the next six months on ACS. We
have a new LTS and two maintenance branches to release from. In
addition to those we have a lot of side projects that deserve some
attention.
maintenance releases
- 20.4 - around August
- 22.2 - around September
new major LTS
- 24.0 - Hope fully before or around CCC
side projects - timelines: before october?
- go-sdk
- terraform
- k8s
- cmk
Are there any volunteers we can call upon? If you wish to volunteer,
please send a separate mail (or reply and change the title) stating
the release and a proposed timeline.
If you are new to this, rest assured there is a small but solid base
of experienced RMs that will be willing to support you.

There hasn't been much progress on the outstanding items in the v0.7.0
release milestone [1], so I'd like to postpone it by one week.
The updated timelines are here:
Alpha release: 14 August 2026
Final release: 19 August 2026
Please ping me (@sureshanaparti) and/or Manoj (@sudo87) on your terraform
PRs (before Alpha release date) if they've to be included in v0.7.0 release.

Hi Daan, all,
I would like to volunteer as RM and Nicolas as co-RM for the 4.24.0 LTS release. I have previously tested the releases 4.22.0, 4.20.2 and 4.20.3 and Nicolas has been the RM for releases 4.16.0 and 4.17.0. He is experienced with the process and can support me throughout the release, which I think makes for a solid pairing.
For the timeline, we aim to target the release before or around CCC, in line with what you outlined.
Looking forward to working on this with the community.

Do we intend to also consider the cloudstack-installer:
https://github.com/apache/cloudstack-installer for release?
We also have CAPC - The cluster API provider for CloudStack that hasn't
been released for close to a year, and I'd like to handle the release
management for that, if no issues.

Hi all
If no one else is interested, I would like to volunteer for the
cloudstack-kubernetes-provider release. Last release was in December, 2025
and we should have a release this year as well. I was the RM for the last 2
official releases.
