[MP2] Handler for Proxying request

Hi,

I'm actually using mod_rewrite in proxy mode and a perl script to do 
some LB/FO on our platform,
additionnally, i have some mod_perl handler to tweak and intercept some 
error pages send by the
application server.

I'm wondering if it won't be possible to replace mod_rewrite + the perl 
script with a InputHandler
which would do the same job.
Since mod_rewrite does actualy control mod_proxy is suppose it's 
possible but i wanted to know if
someone already tried this.
