[jira] [Commented] (INFRA-7925) Replacement vm for svn-qavm

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-7925?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14037224#comment-14037224 ]

jan iversen commented on INFRA-7925:
------------------------------------

vm name will be svn-qavm2.a.o that name should only be used for ssh, so if you want to access it publicly using e.g. svn, we need a public name as well. Reasoning is that we then can change the vm without affecting users.

Any special demands on disk/memory etc ?

It will be ubuntu 14.04, so its prepared for the upcomming puppet3 (but for now it will have puppet2 and ldap).

Who needs access, and who needs sudo ?

sorry for the many questions, but it makes my life easier to do it right the first time.

> We'd like to replace svn-qavm with a newer setup that uses puppet. We'd like to preserve the existing vm for reference when moving. To that end we'd like Infra to start building a new VM for us. Ubuntu 12.04 would be fine or whatever you've been using as your standard Linux distro.
