Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: MAVEN-248
Summary: xref plugin generates two sets of xrefs into the same place - clobbers first one
       Type: Bug

     Status: In Progress
   Priority: Minor

 Time Spent: Unknown
   Estimate: 0 minutes

    Project: maven
  Component: None

   Assignee: Ben Walding
   Reporter: Ben Walding

    Created: Sun, 2 Feb 2003 7:01 PM
    Updated: Mon, 3 Feb 2003 9:15 AM

Description:
When the xref runs, it generates
1) The xref for the main source tree
2) The xref for the main test source tree

Both are generated to the same place

hence 2, clobbers the index files for 1.

To be done:
1) Register the plugin twice as required
2) Generate the test docs into xref-test
