fsync latency causing zookeeper server to fall apart
Hi All,
I have zookeeper server quorum deployed on virtual machines.
I am noticing fsync latency warnings (more than 10 secs) in the log in some
cases,
this in turn causes that zookeeper server to fall apart from the cluster.
Any idea how should I root cause this?
Also can this be mitigated by increasing some timeout value.
Thanks & Regards,
Deepak

The best way to mitigate this is to fix your platform problem. There is
very little that ZK can do to help.
IF it takes 10 seconds to flush to disk, this is going to make these
machines pretty intolerable for all kinds of applications.
To specifically answer your question, yes, you can increase timeouts, but
that isn't anything like a fix.
