classloading in tomcat 4

gurus,

i was just wondering how classloading works 
for jsps which are reloaded. 
i read about the hierarchy of the classloaders 
but i dint get a handle to how the classloader (classpath) would be affected
once a jsp has been modified. 
could anyone give me an insite as to how this works?
