[jira] [Created] (CLOUDSTACK-10411) Implement retroactive
recalculation when overprovisioning
Michael Kesper created CLOUDSTACK-10411:
-------------------------------------------
Summary: Implement retroactive recalculation when overprovisioning
Key: CLOUDSTACK-10411
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-10411
Project: CloudStack
Issue Type: Wish
Security Level: Public (Anyone can view this level - this is the default.)
Components: Install and Setup
Affects Versions: 4.9.0, 4.11
Reporter: Michael Kesper
Fix For: Future
When tuning the overprovisioning factor on a cluster, hosts with running VMs don't profit from the new value of the factor as quotas of VMs that are running get scaled up/down in the same way the factor gets changed.
In worst case, this can lead to the unwanted effect that you can not restart a stopped VM on that host when tuning the factor up.
