[Bug 3938] New: Changes to Local.cf Don't Take Effect
http://bugzilla.spamassassin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3938
Summary: Changes to Local.cf Don't Take Effect
Product: Spamassassin
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: Rules
AssignedTo: dev@spamassassin.apache.org
ReportedBy: me@jonwatson.ca
Running Debian Woody, 2.4 kernel, spamassassin 4.1, exim4. I'm trying to make
the required_hits less than 5.0, but no matter what I change it to
in /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf, emails always say 'required = 5.0'.
I've read the wiki page on the fact that spamd must be restarted in order for
the local.cf file to be read again. I can't seem to figure out how to restart
or stop spamd so I've been rebooting (surely that restarts it, no?).
