Summary: it is not possible to set authorization header using
setAuthorization method
Product: Tomcat 5
Version: 5.0.30
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Connector:Coyote
AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: eugenydzh@jdevelop.com
While for interface org.apache.catalina.Request there is a method
/**
* Set the authorization credentials sent with this request.
*
* @param authorization The new authorization credentials
*/
public void setAuthorization(String authorization);
there is no implementation for this method in the
org.apache.coyote.tomcat5.CoyoteRequest
public void setAuthorization(String s)
{
}
is it supposed to be so?
I need to develop custom Valve, which checks an IP address of a user came from,
and if that IP address matches condition - pre-defined authentication header
will be added, without setAuthorization method that seems not to work?
