SSL accelerators

Is there some special change needed to enable configuration of SSL
accelerators like the one mentioned in

  http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/011107/law012_1.html

I've never used one myself, but it seems like a nice feature to add
to configure.in if someone has the code.
