# 2542 revisited

In mail forwarded via some SA enabled hosts there are non-encoded
8-bit symbols, causing the warning:

X-Amavis-Alert: BAD HEADER Non-encoded 8-bit data (char F6 hex) in
message header 'X-Spam-Report'

Browsing SA bugzilla I saw that it was reported before as bug 2542
with regards to * 4.4 DATE_SPAMWARE etc. lines.

The bug is marked as fixed, but still I get this error for Content
Preview lines:

===================
X-Spam-Report: Spam detection software, running on the system ... has
         identified this incoming email as possible spam.
         ****
         Content preview: *here 8-bit data are present*
         ****
         2.3 DATE_IN_FUTURE_12_24   Date: is 12 to 24 hours after
         ****

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

etc.
=================

Unfortunately, I have no idea which version of SA is running on that
host, but since it has been installed very recently, it is likely
quite fresh.

Can someone confirm this?

Regards,
Gregory
