Bottom Up WebServices ?

Ok, we have a defined process with in an EBJ with our
own data objects, which have no idea of Serializer or
Deserializer so my delema is this. I have to redefine
a set of data objects based on the interfaces of the
existing data object to use with the new web service.
Once I have done that I now have to create for each
data object an adapter to convert from the WebService
data object to the EJB data objects.

Why cant this be simpler ?
