NOTE: Normalized svn:* properties to LF line endings %BUGID%
Hi all,
we are trying to upgrade our svn repo from 1.6 to 1.8.9 using svnsync.
But at the end svnsync writes a message NOTE: Normalized svn:*
properties to LF line endings .
Is it possible to disable this behavior or to undo this normalization?
After that we have no working our Issue tracker properties on client
side (tortoise svn) .
We have this %BUGID%: as Message pattern. :-(
Thank you A.

That's a fairly big jump, to bleeding edge release. Can you try an
intermediate repository, such as 1.7 based? And can you try doing an
"svnadmin dump" and "svnadmin load" to see what hapens?
svnsync has to do some interesting additional steps, and has some
interesting configurations, to lock it into a pull-only mode
synchronized ot the upstream server, and you might see discrepancies
between releases that could contribute to the problem.

Leaving non-LF based logs would be begging or trouble.

Ok,
that problem is somewhere in tortoise client.
When I show log from repository browser it seems that bugtack properties
does not work.
When I show log from working copy it works a show bug ids and url to bug
tracking system.
I'm sorry for that question.

Please use "reply all" to keep the list in cc, so others can help too.
It sounds like a problem with that specific tortoisesvn-feature. I
still don't understand how or why (I suppose "0011122:" is still the
first line of that log message, only now it is LF-terminated instead
of CRLF-terminated --- so I don't understand why tortoisesvn can't
parse that first line just as well). I think you better ask this on
one of the TortoiseSVN mailinglists or forums: see
http://tortoisesvn.net/community.html

I don't think you can disable this normalization. In fact, the format
for svn:* properties has always been "LF line-endings", but this was
unfortunately not enforced in older svn versions. Now svnsync cleans
this up automatically for you.
What I don't understand is why this normalization would break your
%BUGID% pattern in log messages. I don't see line-endings in there
that would have been normalized.
