Please vote on remaining 3.1.8 bugs

I cleaned out a few bugs from the 3.1.8 queue, and put up some patches for the
simple ones that didn't have them.

Please vote on them so we can get them committed and get 3.1.8 out the door.
I'd really like to get it released this week.

Thanks! :)

It is actually very easy to export to mbox. From within the Apple Mail
application, just select Save As... from the File menu.

Oh well, it looks like I will have to wait until next time. I use Apple
Mail and it uses emlx files (basically an individual mail with an xml
structure appended and then placed in a folder for the box) instead of
mbox format. I have been doing some digging and it is non-trivial to
convert them. I may put some patches up for handling the emlx format
instead but no way could I get that done by the 6th.
Thanks for the info though,
Tom

No, 3.1.8 has no new scores. That'd be a separate process anyway, going out
through the update channel.

I'm not sure what you're asking about. Are you asking if the score generation
code needs to be installed? No, everything can run in a random directory
which has the appropriate results and code in it. It's not something that
gets installed on the system.

The SA install doesn't matter. I don't know specifically if the perceptron
runs on Mac OS X.

Oh, you're talking about the mass-check, which is for the 3.2.0 release. So
the answer is: yes, you don't need to install anything. yes, it'll run
anywhere SA runs, so Macs are fine. If you'd like to participate (the more
the merrier), please see the
http://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/RescoreDetails doc. :)

With this release will you be running the scoring analysis before it
goes out? If so, is the utility provided self contained enough that a)
it runs without installing and b) does it run on a Mac with no SA
install? I get 200 emails per day (not counting mailing list email) from
a wide variety of sources so my ham is probably a decent corpus to add
to the mix.
