Bold directory entires

Hi everybody

This may sound like a bikeshed. Would any of you be against having
directory entries marked in bold in Subversion's directory listings?

Take a look at:
http://svn.collab.net/repos/svn/trunk/

Would any of you be against the idea, if all the directories there were
also bold (<strong>) apart from the trailing '/' ?

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of
altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their
views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the
facts that needs altering.

I personally like the rudimentary output, which if at all changed should
go and look more like mod_autoindex output IMO.

Jorge,

I think he meant the standard format is a little too rudimentary. From his
reaction I understood he does know about all this, but he would like to see
something changed on the svn.collab.net site or in the repository.

Which is +1 from me, if that counts...

bye,

Erik.

Sorry for the maybe too short answer ;-)

If you set up Apache to use this xsl with subversion, you will be able to
show the listings with your own personalized format.
You can search the mailing list for xslt, but maybe this snip of httpd.conf
will help you:

<Location /subversionrepo >
  Dav svn
  SVNPath c:/svnroot/svn
  SVNIndexXSLT "/svnindex.xsl"
  AuthType Basic
  AuthName "Subversion"
  AuthUserFile c:/svnroot/svn_users
  AuthzSVNAccessFile c:/svnroot/svn_access
  Require valid-user
</Location>

If you set it up, just try playing with the xslt, it's easy to change the
format...

You have expressed your choices. A patch is attached for your reference
if anyone needs it. It produces output as shown on the right side of this

Try this link instead

    http://svn.collab.net/repos/svn-xml/trunk/

(and make sure you have a marginally intelligent browser).
