[Issue 128040] New: Wiping out "Open Recent Documents" after
restarting after a crash
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=128040
Issue ID: 128040
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Wiping out "Open Recent Documents" after restarting
after a crash
Product: Writer
Version: 4.1.0
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows 8, 8.1
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Minor
Priority: P5 (lowest)
Component: save-export
Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Reporter: HarveyV@nycap.rr.com
Target Milestone: ---
My computer crashed while Open Office 4.1.0 was open. When I restarted the
computer and relaunched Open Office, a screen came up that wanted me to
register and I couldn't get around it, i.e. I couldn't get into OPen Office
without re-registering. When I registered and re-opened Open Office, all my
"Open Recent Documents" list was erased. It's not a major issue, but it is
annoying as I use several of the same files may times and it's easier to use
"Recent Documents" than go down the file tree to find them.
thank you
Harvey

When you are asked to register the software, then it's not from us but a third
party vendor - which sometimes doesn't have the best intentions.
Please make sure that you are downloading software only from its original
source. For Apache OpenOffice you can get it from here:
