[jira] [Commented] (MESOS-143) Framework failover timeout should be
specified by the framework.

Thomas Marshall commented on MESOS-143:
---------------------------------------
So, I've been looking into this and I have a design question: do we want this to be permanently set for each framework when they register (probably by including it in the RegisterFrameworkMessage) or do we want to have some way of allowing frameworks to change this value dynamically (for example by adding a function call for it in the framework API)?

> The framework failover timeout should be specified by the framework, with perhaps an upper limit enforced by the master. Right now two frameworks that want different failover timeout semantics is pretty much impossible (default right now is 1 second, favoring more "batch" like frameworks).
