As FrOSCon approaches, we wanted to inform you of some of the details
regarding the event. Just to remind you, we'll have the 16th edition
of FrOSCon as an online event on August, 21st to 22nd 2021.

While we had considered about having a more interactive presence like
you may have seen on other events, we decided against it due the massive
workload that would've been required. Therefore, we can "only" offer you
BigBlueButton conference rooms for your booths/devrooms.

This software offers text, audio and video communication as well as
several presentation tools. Based on your submissions we're confident
that this should be suitable for everyone. However, you may still
write us about your project's specific needs.

You'll receive an email with the exact location and access instruction
before the event starts. Additionally, your room will be linked on our
main conference page, so that interested visitors may find you there.

If you have any questions, you can reach us via projects@froscon.org.

Da sich das Wochenende der FrOSCon nähert, möchten wir euch noch über
die Details zur Veranstaltung informieren. Nur zur Erinnerung: die 16.
Ausgabe der FrOSCon findet online am 21. und 22. August 2021 statt.

Nachdem wir erst über eine interaktivere Präsenz nachgedacht hatten, die
ihr vielleicht auf anderen Events gesehen habt, haben wir uns
schließlich aufgrund des großen Aufwandes dagegen entschieden. Daher
können wir "euch" nur BigBlueButton-Konferenzräume für eure
Stände/Devrooms anbieten.

Die Software erlaubt Text-, Audio- und Video-Kommunikation und bietet
außerdem einige Tools für Präsentationen. Anhand eurer Einreichungen
gehen wir davon aus, dass das für alle Projekte passt. Natürlich könnt
ihr uns nach wie vor zu Sonderwünschen schreiben.

Ihr bekommt vor dem Start des Events noch eine Mail mit dem genauen Ort
und wie ihr darauf zugreifen könnt. Außerdem werden wir euren Raum auf
der Hauptseite der Konferenz verlinken, damit euch interessierte
Besucher finden können.

Falls ihr Fragen habt, könnt ihr uns unter projects@froscon.org erreichen.
