Problem with Tomcat 3.23, mmJdBC and Mysql

i m working with macromedia ultradev jsp 1.0, mysql 3.23, mmJDBC and tomcat 3.23. All works fine, but when i call the webpages all data-fields of type "text" crashes. There only appears "[B@4f2a8511" in every field (the last 8 characters changing).

is there any idea of that behavior.
