Epoz 1.0.2 release coming up
Hi people!
Next wednesday I want to release a new version of Epoz (1.0.2). Sorry
that I'm a little late in telling, actually I only heard there was a
need for one a couple of days ago, when Infrae informed me they needed
one for Silva (to have a stable version to work with). Since you guys
have been working with an Epoz trunk checkout as well, I thought this
release may be interesting to you: if you make sure the release contains
updated, working Lenya integration code you can point users to a plain
download URL instead of having to tell them how to do a Subversion
checkout. ;)
The release will mainly contain bugfixes: the few new features I have
added are all moved to an 'experimental' HTML file, the default one
contains Epoz like it was in 1.0. There are, however, a few changes that
will break existing installations, I guess you have updated Lenya to
cope with those already, but it might be smart to test it against the
branch version anyway (check out doc/CHANGES.txt for a list of changes
that break existing installations). Also I guess it wouldn't hurt to
check the contents of the Lenya directory in the Epoz package to see if
that's up-to-date and working. I have just announced a feature freeze on
the Epoz list, so what works now will work in the release.
If there are any problems or if you have any questions, please let me
know before wednesday. I won't be around tomorrow, but I will surely
read my email and will only continue the release if there are no
messages pending.
Cheers,
Guido
