dynamically modifying schemas at run-time
Hello, everyone:
I'm involved in a new project that consists of an XML schema with
a statically defined set of entities and attributes. This project will
provide users with a GUI interface that allows users to dynamically
add new attributes to existing entities. Consequently, the schema
will be updated at run-time with the new user-defined attributes.
We originally thought of using JAXB in conjunction with XSDLIB,
but now we're thinking of switching to XMLBeans + XSDLIB. In
either case, though, it appears that the Java bindings need to be
dynamically generated after each user-initiated updates.
We also looked into using separate schemas for each of the
entities in our system, and then leveraging XInclude in order to
include the entities into a single 'master' schema, but XInclude
didn't seem to work too well:(
Has anyone else worked on a project with similar requirements,
and if so, what approach did you use? Suggestions welcome...
Regards,
Oswald

Did you try working with the "meta-schema" schema ?
ie, the Schema that defines the XML Schema structure ?
