[jira] [Updated] (AMBARI-6684) Support for multiple Hive Metastores (HA)

Matt Foley updated AMBARI-6684:
-------------------------------

    Description:
Ambari should support installation and management of multiple Hive metastore servers for High Availability, with appropriate setting of hive.metastore.uris for metastore clients, and configuration of hive properties such as hive.cluster.delegation.token.store.class for proper coordination.

Multiple metastores have been supported for some time (http://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/HDP2/HDP-2.1.1/bk_system-admin-guide/content/sysadminguides_ha_chap3.html), but Ambari 1.6 will not create a 2nd (or more) metastore server via the GUI. The idea would be for Ambari to support adding more metastore servers and for hive-site.xml on the hive client nodes to be configured with a multi-server URI in hive.metastore.uris as described in the web page above.
