  <h3>mod_perl and The Perl Conference 2.0</h3>
  <hr>
  The marketing blurb:<br>
  If you're interested in learning how to
  program the world's most popular Web
  server inside and out, the Apache track is for
  you. The Apache plug-in architecture and
  API give you power, flexibility, and speed far
  beyond your wildest CGI dreams. The experts will help sharpen the
  skills you need to make effective use of the world's most popular
  Web server with Perl.
  <p>
  The real deal:<br>
  I think you will be interested in attending this year's Perl
  Conference if you're not planning the trip already. Have a look at
  the mod_perl lineup aka
  <a href="http://conference.perl.com/pace/conf/Perl_Apache">"The Apache Track"</a>.

  In addition, Lincoln Stein is giving a half-day tutorial titled
  <a href="http://conference.perl.com/pace/conf/M3_Cool_Tricks_with_Perl_and_Apache">"Cool Tricks with Perl and Apache"</a>.
  Also expect to see some BOFish sessions and possibly
  other mod_perl related talks from the conference paper/code
  submissions. The conference will close with the "Apache Town
  Meeting", a 90 minute session where the future of Apache and mod_perl
  will be discussed with several of the Apache Group members and you!
  <p>
  We've all learned so much from each other through email, talking shop in person is bound to bloom everybody's
  knowlege tree even fuller. Plan to have heaps of non-technical fun
  too, there's a handful of pubs in the area for us to take over :-)
  <br>
  Last year's conference proved true in both respects, I expect this
  year's to shine even brighter!
  <p>
  See you there!
  <p>
  -Doug
