Summary: httpd command output is not sent to stdout
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.2.4
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Core
AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
ReportedBy: m.watts@eris.qinetiq.com
The output of such commands as "httpd -M" appears not to be sent to stdout but
to stderr instead.
This means you have to do:
httpd -M 2>&1 | grep shared
In order to grep for the "shared" string
