Re: VR issue High importance

Hi All,

[CRITICAL]

Again we are facing the router(VPC) issue. we have increased the CPU/MEM
but no luck.

If any one facing the issue please help me. We are eagerly waiting for the
valuable suggestions.

.This issue is started from couple of months and daily repeating the
scenario. Every time router rebooted and start the instance and it will
work.  without rebooting the router we are unable to start the instances.

 As we are loosing our customers regarding this issue. I hope understand my
concern and ASAP help me.

Hi Venkat,

The main error is the " Unable to apply userdata and password entry on
router". You need to find out why this happened then your issue can be
solved.
Please observe the MS logs, hypervisor agent logs to see why the user data
script on VR got failed. You can also login to router and run the same
script with arguments manually to see script failure.

Ok

With the new service offering your created , is the setting of that offering set too 2CPU1GB?
If you look in Service Offerings > System Offering > new offering name 

# of CPU Cores	2
CPU (in MHz)	1024 MHz

Then when you migrate that VR to the new System Offering and you go back into 
The VR details Network > VPC > name of VPC > VPC Router Details has the details changed?

What you can also try is stop the VR first then change the service offering and start it again .

Can I suggest you create a new system offering rather that changing the default.

I would suggest that you find out which System Offering your VPC VR is using 

Infrastructure > Virtual Routers > r-XXX-VM (the VR you are trying to change)

Have a look at the Compute offering eg: System Offering For Software Router

Is the Compute offering set to the new System Offering you created?

Are your System VM's running on Local Storage or Shared Storage?
