Missing DTD

Hi!
I have a problem parsing a xml-document, using the SAXParser in
Xerces-1.1.3. The document (which I read from a InputStream) specifies a DTD
via <!DOCTYPE shs.label SYSTEM "shs-label-1.0.dtd">. This is very
unfortunate, because Xerces start serching for this dtd, which I don't have
(or can access), thus generating a FileNotFoundException. How do I persuade
the parser to ignore the DTD, despite that it is given?
