Scope of the source code

Pardon the foolish question here, but in reviewing source code, I notice
many more packages included with the source than what the scope of this
group's contribution is (which is understandable, some come from Sun, W3C,
etc.).  Anyway, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't operating under any
false assumptions...what is the full scope of what this dev group
contributes to?  Am I assuming correctly that the org.apache.xerces.*
packages/classes constitutes the full scope of this project?
