Hi Bert,

Are you actively working on this?  You marked it as 'STARTED' but
didn't assign it to yourself over a month ago, but I don't see any
relevant activity.  I ask of course because it's marked as a blocker
for 1.8.0 and am wondering if that is indeed the case.
