Error connecting to Fineract Provider

Hello,

I was able to follow the guides and install fineract and Mifos on an Ubuntu
VM, using Tomcat instructions

I launched the Mifos UI on *[VM_EXTERNAL_IP]:8080* but login is failing.
When I try with the default username and password it returns *'Unknown
error, please try again later".* I see on the dev console Network tab that
it's trying to connect to
*http://localhost:8080/fineract-provider/api/v1/authentication
<http://localhost:8080/fineract-provider/api/v1/authentication>* but
failing.

Does anyone know what could be wrong?
