[merlin] snapshot binary RC1

A binary snapshot of the 20031211 cvs tag (a.k.a. 3.2 RC1) is
now available for testing (system, docs, and tutorials).

This update includes corrections to the handling of maven
repository resolution under the merlin plugin and abstract
unit test facilities (plugin version is now 3.2.1 and the
merlin-unit version is 3.2.6).  Main features of this release
are the improvements in repository management, a standard
default handling system, improved environment recognition,
command-line control over the implementation version,
improvements in kernel activation policy and behaviour,
and major improvements to the unit test facility.
