html:link and multiple params on paging

The Pager taglib looks real nice for search results that are generated by
request query params e.g.
http://hostname/MySearchAction.do?param1=2&param2=ABC&etcetc

So I figure, use the html:link tag's paramId, paramName, paramProperty
attributes, but you can only use these for one parameter right? (and the
pager needs one right off the bat!)

And if you feed multiple arguments into your search, you were probably using
a form anyway (I am), so your left doing what? Sticking the search parameter
form into the httpSession? Using javascript to submit the paging requests?

I suspect that storing it in the session is the right answer... but is there
an obvious technique to skin this cat that I'm missing?

TIA

-Joe

action form extending action form?

Posted by Fedor Smirnoff <in...@olnix.com>.
Hi,

Cant figure this one out. Let's say I have an:

ActionForm form1 and Action action1

that persist throughout the application and used by different processes as a
final step. Now I got an action2 where I need to process another actionform
form2 right before I pass on to the action1 that processes actionform1. The
problem is that both forms 1 and 2 have to be populated from one jsp file.
How would I go about it?

I know I can make sure this jsp is only usin form2 and passes all the
variables to form 1 without an actionform but just as request variables, but
was hoping there is a better way.

Thank for the help,
Fedor
