   @wypoon  Sorry for the late jump in, since the schema-id change in table metadata that brought up earlier in this conversation thread is part of formatV2 release milestone tasks, I went ahead and started to implement part of it in #2096. Please take a look if you are interested, and please let me know if that change aligns with your plan. Thank you!
